A family history

A SISTER, A BROTHER, AND A BIG DREAM

The taste of hospitality
Little by little, just like in all good stories, "Mamma Ciccia" has extended her family!
Now it's not just Silvia and Marcello who take care of it, but also Giulia, the youngster of the family, as well as numerous co-workers. Perhaps this is also why the guest feels at home, experiences the village as if it were his own, walks in the alleys, is independent and at the same time can count on hotel services such as reception, information point, breakfast, restaurant, bistro and, not least, daily cleaning and complimentary toiletries ...

Those who choose to stay with us, like us, embrace the philosophy of Diffused Hospitality and become a temporary resident who lives the experience of the village, the spirit of the place, the Italian hospitality and, at the same time, the village is revitalised, the old houses are renovated while maintaining the local character and the atmosphere of "ancient village" so loved by foreign tourists: a little like home and a little like a hotel.

Curiosity: where does the name "Mamma Ciccia" (Fat Mamma) come from?
In the family logo
The idea of calling our restaurant "Mamma Ciccia" comes from the daily use, in the family, of the nickname Ciccia.

"Ciccia" or "Ciccio" in the Lombard tradition is used to call a loved one: it is a way to show affection to children, husband or wife. It is very common in our family and so, after the birth of Silvia's children, it has turned into "Mamma Ciccia" and has also become the name of the restaurant: what better way to convey the idea of a family character and show care and love?
